Receiving his Certificate from Sensei Shian Toma
Sensei Toma (in baseball hat) is the the Head Master (tenth degree Black Belt) of the style of Karate that Denver is learning. Don't let the looks of this eighty-something year old man fool you. In a match between Sensei Toma and Mr. Miyagi, I would totally bet on Sensei Toma. Sensei Toma taught Denver's Sensei Ron Nix (next to Sensei Toma on the right edge of the picture) and granted Sensei Nix (eighth degree Black Belt) permission to teach others this style of Karate.

i'm dying at how cute he is. geez, you can tell he takes his new profession very seriously! i have been trying to convince my boys that we should just try out karate and they have been resistant...i think i just need to show them denver's video and pics and they will be sold.
Denver does take it pretty serious. Cameron has been asking me all week, when his daddy is going to get a Japan job so we can move. We went to Tepanyaki for dinner last week and he is convinced Jason works as a Japanese cook.
Tell Denver how proud of him we are for both his karate achievement ss well as swimming.
Woo hoo! Good job, Denver! I bet he can kick my butt easy now. Tell him congrats from us!
