At a Japanese 100 yen (dollar) store we purchased some nick-nacks to entertain McCall during the boring portions of our church meetings. One such nick-nack is a toddler origami book filled with cute little drawings of various animals, children and nature scenes. Each drawings consists of an initial image and a second image that is revealed after you fold along the dotted lines. We thought you might enjoy viewing one of the pages that McCall discovered at church today:

Ski Trip and Two New Parks

Happy New Year! In order to ramp up our excitement level for the upcoming Winter Olympics we took a ski trip with the Thompson family. The ski resorts on Okinawa have not received any snowfall during the past few millennia so they have had to adapt to the lack of snow...

This New Year's weekend we also explored two parks that we had not yet visited. First stop was Neishijikin Park...

Spinly Lobster Bathroom

If you have never urinated inside of a concrete replica of a spiny lobster, then you haven't really fully experienced life yet. The whole concept of a lobster bathroom may sound charming, but it is not very relaxing having to watch out for pinching claws while relieving yourself.
