45 Minutes Before Trick or Treat Time
The master pumpkin carver is hard at work while his young apprentice works on perfecting his pirate growl.
15 Minutes before Trick or Treat Time
Denver carved his own pumpkin this year (It's the one directly above his heed). Given our time constraints, Jason went with the simple block design for his pumpkin (next to Denver's). The other two pumkins are Otis Family originals.

Yes, there were a lot of Trick or Treaters
We have never seen anything like it. There were so many trick-or-eaters. You would have thought people were giving out Hannah Montana concert tickets.
Cat Woman and Pocohantos Helping Pass Out the Candy
Based on the amount of candy we gave out, we estimate that we had somewhere between 500 and 750 trick or treaters (we have been buying candy every time we go to the store for 6 weeks in preparation) and that number does not even include any Stewart exaggeration! Poor Jason gave out so much candy that he developed a really bad case of tendonitis in his elbow from reaching in and out of the candy bowl so many times. Unfortunately, we only made it 1 1/2 hours before running out of candy.

Wow, I thought we had lots of trick or treaters, looks like your area got hit hard! Way to procrastinate the carvin' :) We didn't carve ours until Halloween, either! Have fun in Tokyo!
You weren't kidding about the crowd, that's just crazy!! Hey we got you all beat, Morgan carved his pumkin the day after halloween. Sad but true!!
Did you really have that many trick or treaters? Jason is so sarcastic that I never know if it is real or not!!! :) Fun having Halloween when you don't have to bundle up!
I think we had at least 3, maybe even 4 come to our house...I should check to make sure Jean's name isn't coming up on the Pervert Watch List!

We too learned that ON BASE trick or treating is no laughing matter. Our candy and playdoh only lasted about a half hour, then we had to turn out our lights...whoops....should have listened and bought more candy.
You should set up a budget right now so you can save up for treats next year. I can't believe you had that many kids come, it looks fun!
That is the craziest thing I have ever seen! Sure puts my 3 trick or treaters to shame! Like the costumes!
Japan sure knows how to celebrate Halloween.... what a crowd. We don't get anything close to that in Michigan. Looks like you guys had a busy night and made lots of kids happy! Loved the costumes and the pumpkins!
