Gobble Gobble

The holiday season is now upon us. The time has come for feeding our faces and our unqeunchable appetites for all things material...

First, we started the holiday celebration by chaperoning a second grade field trip to a play called "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats" presented in Japanese...

Jason's Group Decided to Name Themselves the DKGs (Denver, Kaliyah and Gjia)

Proud Mother with her Lamb

Denver's Class
The wolf and the goats were just visiting for the day and are not normally part of his class. Denver's teacher is Ms. Nierman.

Thanksgiving Luncheon for Denver's Class

On Thanksgiving Day we joined the Otis Family for their super-mega Thanksgiving Day Bash. The food was great and the company was awesome, especially since Jason was there...

A Monkey Bouncy Castle...

...is what separates the much more common Mega Thanksgiving Day Bash from the much more coveted Super-Mega Thanksgiving Day Bash.

A Lively Round of Catch Phrase

Thanksgiving Tragedy!!!

Those who know Denver well, might already know that he likes to celebrate any major holiday with either illness or injury. This year for Thanksgiving he chose injury. Unfortunately, Denver's head came out on the losing end of a battle between cranium and concrete. To his parents' delight an emergency room visit was not required...just decorative napkins for the bleeding, a bag of ice for the swelling and an ACE bandage to add some style. Thanks to Melanie for capturing this great action shot.

Caring Father

Denver was a little embarassed about the bandages required for his injury so his loving father decided to help out by adding some cool factor to the situation. What could be more fitting on Thanksgiving day than some authentic cardboard feathers to convert the ACE bandage into an Indian Warrior Headband? Maybe next time Jason should tell Denver the truth and not tell him that the cardboard pieces are required to help with air circulation.

To our delight we were able to buy a real Christmas tree fresh from Colorado. We haven't had a real Christmas tree since the very first year we were married...

Note to Self:

Next year save yourself a few hours of branch cutting by making sure to buy a tree with a stump long enough to fit in the stand.

The Finished Product!

A real Christmas tree! It looks great. i like your new festive green blog background. So what did Denver think of the play? If I remember right, it's quite a gory story! The wolf eats the lambs then the mom lamb cuts the wolf open, fills it with rocks and it falls in a river! Gotta love those tragic asian-style endings!

We got your Christmas card the other day! Super cute picture! We are now up to a whole four Christmas cards up on our pantry door. Thanks for thinking of us. I think people forget about us up here in Logan. It's a good and bad thing though. It's hard to get people to come up here to visit so we end up having to drive to Ogden a lot... but at the same time, people don't just stop by, ya know. Who needs them anyway. Your blog posts are fun, I am glad we have a way to keep in touch! Talk to you soon!
